A 21-year old herdsman died Sunday near the village of Banya in Eastern Bulgaria (Nova Zagora municipality) after a lightning bolt struck him. The grandfather of the young man found the body after the herdsman did not come back at home in the evening. During the incident there was a severe thunderstorm in the region, local people said.
