Varbitsa Pass is closed for the entire winter season, the press center of Road Infrastructure Agency reports.As of Wednesday all vehicles are banned from traveling through the pass, on road I-7 Shumen-Yambol from 176th km to 200th km. The motorists can use Rish Pass, road II-73 Shumem-Karnobat or Kotel Pass, road II-48 Omurtag-Kotel.

Karandila region near Sliven is one of the most preferred tourism destinations in the region among foreign tourist groups. The lift of the park is one of its most popular attractions. The Fortress Kipilovo Kale rises on the Hisarlaka summit, 3 km southeastern from the village of Kipilovo , and 24 km western from the town of Kotel . The Fortress is an irregular trapezium and spreads on an area of 8,000 sq.m. There is a lot of protected from the 2.5-m thick fortified walls, reaching 8-10 m in height. The famous Riben Bukvar (Fish Book) compiled by Dr. Petar Beron (the first Bulgarian Renaissance school textbook) has been stolen from the History Museum in the town of Kotel (northeastern Bulgaria). The thieves have left a replica of the book, announced commissioner Chavdar Bozhurski, director of the police in the town of Sliven. The police have started searching private homes in the town of Kotel.

Kotel. A cistern-truck went off the road and overturned on the road in Kotel town direction at the junction for Neykovo village. The truck has collided with a car after which it went off the road. Accidents: Bodies of drown kids found

After almost 24-hour search by the Police Department in Kotel the bodies of the 8 and 10-year-old brothers who had drowned near the town were found, the Regional Police Department in Sliven informed. The kids were going home without their mother and frowned in a water basin used for irrigation near the village of Yablanovo. No trace of violence was found on the bodies. An autopsy and forensic medicine expertise will be made.
