Bulgarian municipalities have intensified their interest in the utilisation of mineral springs, which the Bulgarian state grants them under gratuitous concession. The Ministry of Environment and Water published a list of nearly 70 mineral springs, which can be managed by the Bulgarian municipalities for a period of 25 years. Created in July 23, 1931, Silkosia is the oldest reserve in Bulgaria. The territory was protected with the purpose of saving the evergreen bushes in its highest parts. Tsarevo municipality collected 10 000 leva of harbor taxes, burgasinfo.com reported. Though taxes were decreased from 120 to 60 leva, the municipality finds it difficult to collect the full amount. Only 49 out of 173 vessel owners paid the harbor tax. Taxes are collected from all kinds of vessels, including fishing boats, Bulgarian and foreign yachts and others that use the harbor for a certain period of time.

Tsarevo witnessed the official opening of a border checkpoint at its yacht harbor, burgasinfo.com reported. The checkpoint will service non-commercial vessels that are entering or living the Bulgarian part of Black Sea. Tsarevo’s checkpoint will be functioning non-stop.
