The Monastery St. Zhivorpriemnii iztochnik (Life-giving Source) is located 4 km eastern from the village of Golyamo Bukovo and is the only monastery survived in Strandja Mountain. It was built in 1887. The monastery is declared a monument of culture. According to the legend, and the historians too, at the place of the today’s monastery a temple has one existed that was built over the ruins of an ancient sanctuary.
