Nearly 40 000 Russian children will spend their summer vacation in Bulgaria’s coastal region, factor-bs.com reported.This is possible after Bulgaria introduced the issuing of free visas for Russian children. The information was presented during a summit between Deputy Foreign Minister Milen Keremedchiev and representatives of the tourism sector in Bourgas.
Russian tourists are one of the groups that can guarantee the success of the summer season. Bulgaria expects 300 000 Russian tourists, which is only 5.5 percent of the overall foreign tourist volume. Touroperators are asking for the opening of more visa centers in Russia and for a serious decrease in the prices of visas. In this manner the state will stimulate the sector in the conditions of a crisis.
