The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartolomeo will send to the coastal town of Nessebar the holy relics of apostle Andrew the First-Called. At the same time the Patriarchate in Istanbul will receive part of the relics of patriarch Dionysius I of Constantinople, which are preserved at Rila Monastery (southwestern Bulgaria).
"The exchange of relics will be performed at a special ceremony on October 12 at the Ecumenical Patriarchate," Bulgaria`s minister without portfolio Bozhidar Dimitrov announced. Minister Dimitrov and the Father Superior of Rila Monastery bishop Evlogiy will carry the relics of St. Dionysius.
