Football legend Hristo Stoychkov plans to build a resort on 16 acres near the famous Lakes of Smolian . The municipalities of Burgas , Kameno , Karnobat , Nesebar , Aitos , Sredets , Pomorie , Sungurlare and Ruen have come together to build a regional facility for the disposal of household waste. The design of the new waste site, to cover an area of 2.7 ha, takes into account the rapid development of the Southern Black Sea coast. The waste site project will be tabled for a public discussion. The Burgas regional environment directorate is preparing an impact assessment for the facility.
