Travel: Euro 2008 wrecks seaside tourism
Village of San-Stefano >> Thursday, 2008-06-05 01:19
Source: FrogNews.bg
The European Football Championship wrecked the summer season. The number of visitors at the Black Sea coast dropped drastically, alarmed Dimitar Dimitrov, branch expert. It emerged that the hotels in Golden Sands are empty, which is pretty much true for Albena as well. Statistics show that fewer Brits and Scandinavians arrived this year. Another reason for the waning interest involves the rising petrol prices, which pushed up flight costs by 20-30%.
