September turns out to be favorable for the tourism in Sunny Beach, the Chairperson of the Owners’ Association Elena Ivanova said. According to Ivanova the reason for the good results was the fact that German tourists prefer the beginning and the end of the seasons for their vacations. Bulgaria`s tourism industry provides 14% of the country`s GDP according to a report of the Oxford Business Group based on 2007 data. Most of the hotels in Bulgaria are situated along the Black Sea coast (39%). They hold 66.7% of the bed capacity. 272 out of all 1,477 hotels in Bulgaria are in the region of Burgas. The region of Varna hosts 223 hotels and the region of Dobrich – 81, the National Statistical Institute has announced. The survey includes hotels with more than 10 beds.
