Sunny Beach AD has no right to sue the electric company EVN for the power cut yesterday, said executive director Malina Stratieva. The resort and some villages in Nessebar municipality suffered a 5-hour power shortage on Saturday due to a damaged 110 KV electric power line. Stratieva assured that SB AD has not suffered losses, despite being the owner of the alleys and street lights.

The accommodation base of Sunny Beach resort reached 250 000 beds, stated Malina Stratieva, executive director of Sunny Beach AD. “In the past Sunny Beach was just East Sunny Beach. There were only administrative buildings in the western part. There were 112 hotels in East SB, compared to 141 now.” The new hotels in West Sunny Beach are much more. Of the 250 000 beds 57 000 are in the east, the rest – in the west. “The poor infrastructure in the west affects the east negatively, because it is the same resort after all.”

The summer season of the beaches Burgas-North and Burgas-Central will be officially opened on June 27th, the manager of the company – concessionaire Ontime Georgi Velkov said.
