Financial minister discussed anti-crisis measures with Smolyan businessmen

Bulgarian government is planning to cut down interests on bank loans through a financial injection for the commercial banks.
"We are in negotiations with the European Investment Bank over a loan agreement worth 1.4 billion euro," Finance Minister Dyankov said.

Minister Dyankov discussed a set of anti-crisis measures with representatives of the business in the town of Smolyan on Wednesday. "We want to provide fresh capital for the commercial banks so that they slash the loan interests. This will give the business some fresh air, allowing it to start working on the realization of new projects in the spring of 2010," Dyankov explained.

During his meeting with businessmen, the finance minister outlined the main financial strategies of the government as regards next year`s budget, as well as their priorities and forecasts for the development of the economy under the conditions of financial crisis.
