Workers of the Dospat -based Nitex received BGN 35 and in a box of blouses and sweaters instead of full wages. The plant, which employ 400 people, gave boxes holding about 40 blouses for all seasons and colors. " Some of the workers who are more diligent took quite a large cash plus clothes. A runoff of the local elections was held in two Bulgarian villages – Kasuk and Kurtovo Konare . The candidate of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms Djamal Shalganov is the new Mayor of Kasaka . He was elected by 292 votes from a total of 525. The representative of Attacka Ivan Pirinov won the runoff at Kurtovo Konare . Pirinov won 743 from a total of 1441 votes. No violations were registered in the election day.

The mayor of the town of Sevlievo has until September 1 to respond to a letter from the environment minister, asking that the city accept some of the baled garbage produced by the Bulgarian capital which has been temporarily stockpiled in Kremikovtzi and Gara Iskar. The constructions of a highway in the Rhodopes will start in the few months. This was reported by the vice minister of development Dimcho Mihalevski.
