The bed capacity of Bulgarian ski resort Pamporovo has increased from around 2,000 in 2000 to 15,000-20,000 at present. The municipalities of Smolian and Chepelare each have jurisdiction over a section of the resort and issue building permits for the respective territory. According to the Smolian municipality , the number of beds on its section of the resort is around 12,000. The Smolian municipality said it granted eight building permits in 2007 for a total of 2,000 beds.

New 6-seat lift will start to function on Pamporovo winter resort ( Rhodore Mountain ) by the end of the season. The equipment will service two tracks, which enlarges the resort`s area towards Stoikite village (West).
In the lift`s construction were invested over 13 million BGN (6,5 million EUR). By now the total length of the tracks is more than 20 km.

Bulgarian Land Development plc (BLD), the AIM listed Bulgarian residential and commercial development company, has sold 100% of the units it has underwritten at the Evridika Hills development in Pamporovo ski resort , the company said in a filing with the LSE.
BLD acquired 37 units at the Evridika Hills holiday complex, all of which have now been sold, ahead of initial expectations, the company said.

The conditions for skiing and tourism in the winter resort of Pamporovo, Bulgaria are very good, the Mountain Rescue Service told Radio FOCUS – Smolyan. Snow-cover in the resort is about 80sm deep, the weather is sunny and temperature is minus 4 degree Celsius.
