The state will finance partly the roads to the plant for production of cars of Litex Motors in Lovech and the ski factory of Amer Sports Bulgaria in Chepelare . The contracts with the two municipalities were approved by the cabinet. Both companies are investor class "A" and money for the roads will be awarded by the Invest Bulgaria Agency. A Chepelare initiative committee won European funding for rural region development, radio Focus Smolyan reported. The project will affect the municipalities of Banite , Luki and Chepelare . The European agriculture fund provides financial resources for such projects executed from 2007 and 2013. Overall funding for the Chepelare project totals 186 251 leva. The municipal authorities of Chepelare may put a five-year ban on erecting new hotels in ski resort Pamporovo in a bid to cool off construction activities outpacing infrastructure development. The proposal, already submitted for approval by the regional development ministry, will halt construction in half of the resort, the other half being controlled by the municipality of Smolyan . At the order of the mayors of the towns of Smolyan and Chepelare, Dora Yankova and Georgi Popov, the construction works at the Pamporovo mountain resort, as well as at the neighboring resorts, will be stopped, FOCUS Radio – Smolian reports. The ban will be active by March 31, 2009. The measure is taken in order to provide normal conditions for the functioning of the sports installations and hotel base in the upcoming active winter tourist season.
