Archeologists found a treasure of 79 gold and silver coins in a rocky area near the village of Galabovo in the Rhodope Mountains . The find consists of 5 Byzantine hyperpyrons and 74 Venetian grosso, announced the head of the team Dr. Borislav Borislavov from Sofia University "St Kliment Ohridski". The coins were found just 30 cm under the ground in a cleft in a rock, covered up with stones, which is a typical of a Thracian offering.
