Bulgarian Rose Karlovo JSC, the rose oil production company, has unveiled a 17.7 per cent drop in sales revenue to BGN 5.2 million for 2008, compared to BGN 6.3 million for 2007, the company said on January 27. The revenue from the sales of services have increased marginally from BGN 255,000 in 2007 to BGN 258,000 in 2008. Accidents: Banya in mourning over the dead in car crash boys

Two boys (16 and 18-years old) died on Wednesday night in a car crash in the Bulgarian town of Banya , when about 22.50 a car overturned and entered private property, the National Medical Coordinate Center press-office informed. Two other boys have been seriously injured in the accident. They were taken to hospital in the city of Plovdiv . The town of Banya has declared Friday a day of mourning over the death of the boys, the municipality of Karlovo announced.

Local spa hotels are ratcheting up their efforts to lure more foreigners as some 80% of the current guests are Bulgarians, said Stanimir Stankov, chairman of the National Spa and Wellness Tourism Association. Citygas, the local subsidiary of Gruppo Societa Gas Rimini S.p.A., will invest 178 mln levs in gas distribution center Trakia through 2013. The target is set out in the business plan of the company submitted for approval by the Bulgarian power regulator. The document will be reviewed next week.

The local Black Sea Technology Company (BSTC), 99.69%-owned by Italy`s AMGA Azienda Multiservizi S.p.A., said it is interested in adding the municipalities of Karlovo , Sopot , Bania and Kaloyanovo to its current gas permit area.
The company has been licensed to deploy infrastructure in the Dobrudzha and Mizia gas distribution regions.

Local businessman Hristo Kovachki and the Karlovo municipality have reached an agreement on the paying-up of the authorised capital of their joint venture Bania Golf and Spa Resort.
The municipality owns 34% of the JV, established as a public-private partnership in mid-2007. It has contributed to the balance sheet of the JV 22 land plots and buildings in Bania . The residual equity is held by the private partner.
