The first stage of reconstruction of the Starossel cult temple ended, and the temple is expected to open for visitors soon, the mayor of the village of Starossel , Ivan Zhoutev, announced. The foyer and the vault of the oval chamber were totally reconstructed to the way they used to have when first built by the Thracians 25 centuries ago. The Ministry of Culture plans a second stage of reconstructions to begin next year. Over 100,000 tourist have visited the Starossel temple for the past eyar.

A 60-year-old construction worker died in an accident in the village of Starosel near Bulgaria`s Plovdiv, buried alive after a collapse in a pit. Witnesses said the worker was trying to secure the pit when one of the walls collapsed and he was buried under two meters of slided material. The man died of suffocation before his co-workers managed to reach him.
