Bulgarian municipalities have intensified their interest in the utilisation of mineral springs, which the Bulgarian state grants them under gratuitous concession. The Ministry of Environment and Water published a list of nearly 70 mineral springs, which can be managed by the Bulgarian municipalities for a period of 25 years. Tomorrow expires the deadline for the local authorities to file their applications for the gratuitous management and monitoring of 11 sites. The list involves 11 deposits such as "Kam...

Strelcha is a small town in Central Southern Bulgaria . Among the sloping hills and century-old trees, at the foot of Sredna Gora Mountain, some unique natural and archeological monuments are protected. The Thracian tomb Zhaba Mogila (Frog Mound) is dated back to 5th century BC - when the Bessi (Thracian tribe) ruled in the lands around Strelcha . The World Bank will extend EUR 81 million for the upgrade of municipal infrastructure in Bulgaria under an agreement approved by the government on Thursday.
