Over 60,000 companies in Bulgaria are run by women, 63 per cent of whom have higher education, Deputy Economy and Energy Minister Anna Yaneva told a news conference on Wednesday, BTA reported. The Pazardjik municipal council has given the go-ahead to an EU-funded 12.6 mln euro project for a solid household waste disposal site. It will be located in the village of Aleko Konstantinovo and will service the municipalities of Pazardjik, Peshtera, Belovo, Bratsigovo, Septemvri, Lesichevo, Rakitovo, Batak and Velingrad. The cost of the project also includes 1.864 mln euro for a facility that will extract from the waste recyclable materials.
