4 people (all of them from the village of Govedare, Pazardzhik district) died at dawn Friday, in a car accident between the villages of Isperihovo (municipality Bratsigovo) and Novo Selo (municipality Sramboliyski), in Southern Bulgaria, the National Medical Center reported.
5 people have been traveling in a Toyota SUV when the driver lost control and crashed head-on with a water tower. The most probable cause is reported as speeding. The only survivor is a 17-year-old, who has been flown to the hospital in Pazardzhik with head trauma. His life is currently not in danger.
The 33-year-old driver, and three passengers - aged 16, 17, and 18 have been killed on the spot.
56 Bulgarians have died on the country`s roads since the beginning of 2009, according to the Interior Ministry`s data. There have been a total of 550 traffic accidents.
