Bulgarian municipalities have intensified their interest in the utilisation of mineral springs, which the Bulgarian state grants them under gratuitous concession. The Ministry of Environment and Water published a list of nearly 70 mineral springs, which can be managed by the Bulgarian municipalities for a period of 25 years. The government has terminated two contracts for the concession of mineral water because companies did not pay their contributions to the state for a year and a half. One contract was concluded with Quadrant Beverages JSC for part of the mineral water from drilling in Belovo field. The second contract was signed with Benabra JSC managing the field Bratsigovo .
