The Bulgarian and Turkish governments will resume the construction of the Gorna Arda hydro power complex and the Tundja dam lake in a bid to stop the flooding suffered by the city of Edrine every time the river of the same name overflows. | The Bulgarian village of Tatul , located in Momchilgrad Municipality , received 300 000 euro from the PHARE programme for the restoration of a Thracian rock sanctuary. Tatul deputy mayor Sevdalin Ognyanov said that the project dates back eight years and was finally nearing completion. Work on the project named Tatul : Orpheus Sanctuary will start in May, 2007, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported. Tourists will have the opportunity to use the services of trained tourist guides at the site. |
