Bulgaria`s marathon swimmer Petar Stoychev (born 24 October 1976 in Momchilgrad) has entered the swimming hall of fame as he received a special award during a ceremony held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday evening. Petar Stoychev was proclaimed the best athlete in the history of swimming marathon. He was awarded a honorary diploma and a figurine.
"This award makes me especially proud. I feel like a real star. Before the ceremony, the people from the organization committee made me feel really special. When I entered the hall I saw the Bulgarian national flag. It was a great experience," Stoychev said.
