Six municipal hospitals will certainly become centres for post-hospital treatment, according to a supplement to the Concept for Hospital Restructuring, published on the website of the Health Ministry. The medical establishments in Dryanovo, Elena, General Toshevo, Sredets, Lyubimets and Radomir have been approved for restructuring by the Ministry. Japanese prince Akishino will open the new museum of Thracian culture in the east Rhodope Mountains near the Aleksandrovska tomb in the town of Haskovo . The museum will be finished in May 2009. The only company which gave work to the people in Lyubimets, has closed because of the crisis. 150 workers from Detelina-Textiles JSC from the southern town lost their jobs. People have already received their individual dismissal notifications. The textile company which is owned by Dane is going to start a liquidation procedure on March 1, explained by CITUB in Haskovo. In recent months 200 workers from the region have been released by the light industry enterprises.

Three highly exquisite wines from the Villa Lyubimets winery won awards in the two most prestigious wine sampling events at the London International Wine Fair 2008 - Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge. The wines 359 Metaphor White (vintage 2007) by Villa Hissar and their white wine from the new 359 series - Fresh Scent from the region of the Sredna Gora Mountain, Rose from Cabernet Sauvignon, vintage 2007 and Villa Lyubimets` limited edition Mavroud, vintage 2005, won honorary diplomas. Eight dynamic producers (Katarzyna Estate, Logodaj Winery, Terra Tangra Ltd, Damianitza AD, Santa Sarah AD, Telish JSCo, Vertikal JSCo, Bessa Valley Winery Ltd) have joined forces under the common name of Bulgarian Wine Guild to present the new face of Bulgarian wine at this year`s LIWF.
