| A 27-year-old drunk driver with suspended driver’s license crashed near the village of Vaglarovo (region of Haskovo) and town of Bolyarovo , the correspondent of FOCUS News Agency informed. The incident happened during the night, but the crashed vehicle was spotted in the morning by the passengers in a bus. Three people were injured in the accident – the driver himself, another man, aged 25 and a 29-year-old woman. The two men’s life is out of danger. The woman, however, was injured seriously. |

Three highly exquisite wines from the Villa Lyubimets winery won awards in the two most prestigious wine sampling events at the London International Wine Fair 2008 - Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge. The wines 359 Metaphor White (vintage 2007) by Villa Hissar and their white wine from the new 359 series - Fresh Scent from the region of the Sredna Gora Mountain, Rose from Cabernet Sauvignon, vintage 2007 and Villa Lyubimets` limited edition Mavroud, vintage 2005, won honorary diplomas. Eight dynamic producers (Katarzyna Estate, Logodaj Winery, Terra Tangra Ltd, Damianitza AD, Santa Sarah AD, Telish JSCo, Vertikal JSCo, Bessa Valley Winery Ltd) have joined forces under the common name of Bulgarian Wine Guild to present the new face of Bulgarian wine at this year`s LIWF. |

| Bulgarian unit of French wine and spirits group Belvedere generated 1.4% of group sales in `07, shows the financial report of the parent company. The Bulgarian division recorded sales of 14.59 mln euro last year, the fifth-best performance in the group. The capacity of the Belvedere wine cellars in Stara Zagora, Oryahovitsa and Lyubimets topped 22.8 mln bottles annually on average. The three companies collectively own 500 ha of vineyards. |
