Budget allocations to Bulgarian hospitals will be boosted by a bottom BGN 350 million next year, according to a memorandum signed yesterday between ruling party GERB, the rightist Blue Coalition and the ministers of health-care and finance. Targovishte. A(H1N1) virus claimed its first victim in the town of Targovishte (Northeast Bulgaria), Dr. Rayna Zheynova with the Regional Inspectorate for Protection and Control of Public Health announced for Radio FOCUS - Shumen.The victim is 54-year-old man from the town of Opaka. Seven people have been in contact with the patient - 3 kids and 4 adults. They are out of risk.

One more patient infected with A (H1N1) flu has died in the hospital for active treatment Rockefeller in the town of Petrich . In doctors` words the 52-year-old man were in good health condition after one-week stay at the hospital but suddenly he felt unwell after complications due to the new flu stamp and died in the weekend. Doctors added that the new flu differs from the common one because it affects the whole lung not just part of it.

A 15-year-old boy from Kavarna , who was treated in the St. Marina Hospital in coastal Varna with diagnosis - A (H1N1) flu, has died at midnight, Director of Regional Health Center Dr. Veselin Balkanski told FOCUS - Varna radio. On Friday the Bulgarian Ministry of Healthcare declares a national flu epidemic as 200 in 10,000 people are sick with flu in the country, the ministry announced. Health: New dead case of swine flu in Sofia

A 53-year-old man died of swine flu in Sofia. This brings the death toll in the country up to six. The number of infected people in the capital continues to increase and 50 schools have already been closed. An epidemic was declared in Sofia-district, Blagoevgrad, Dupnitsa and Kustendil. Health: Distict of Pleven declared flu epidemic

The northern Bulgarian district of Pleven has declared a flu epidemic, Dr. Ivan Yordanov, director of the Regional Inspectorate for Public Health Protection and Control - Pleven , told FOCUS - Veliko Tarnovo Radio. He says 304 in every 10,000 people are sick with flu in the district. All schools in the district will be closed for a week. Women`s consultations, visits to hospitals and planned operations are canceled. The measures will be in force until the situation gets back to normal, he added.
