The South Stream gas pipeline will enter Bulgarian territory through the beach of Pasha Dere . Bulgaria will launch in September the construction of a 12 million euro gas pipeline connecting the cities of Dobrich and Silistra , in the country`s northeast. The project contractor has already been selected and is pending approval by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development which is providing financing for the initiative, Kiril Temelkov, CEO of local gas transmission system operator Bulgartransgaz said last week. "The damages from the destroyed 55 houses in the villages of Biser and Leshnikovo after the flood on February 6 exceed BGN 3 mln ," posted BNR, citing Irena Uzunova, District Governor of Haskovo .
