Plamen Peichev, Manager of Best Credit Bulgaria, prognosticates that interest is going to maintain the increase in its level at least by the end of 2008, the Sega Daily informs. He also expects a series of promotions will take place in various financial institutions regarding reduction of taxes.

The only financial institution that has added up to its consumer loan interest, plus 0,5%, is UBB. Its mortgage loan interest has risen with 0,5% as well and conditions for providing this type of crediting have become more exacting. The bank has also brought in corrections in the pre-term paying back tax and documentary taxes. DSK Bank and Unicredit Bulbank have reduced with 50% the loan managing tax. Piraeus Bank has increased its basic interest regarding Swiss frank loans and the interest regarding its most popular loan in BGN – Miracle, with 0,5%. Unicredit Bulbank has added up the same percent to the interest of mortgage and business loans. Customers of EIBank have been introduced a 7.9% interest for BGN and 6.8% for EUR loans, but dispose of a longer pay back term.

The basic interest percent of the European Central Bank is not very likely to increase even at the present rhythm of inflation.
