EFG Eurobank Bulgaria heads for the insurance business

The local division of Greek EFG Eurobank Ergasias – EFG Eurobank Bulgaria - mulls releasing new insurance products on the Bulgarian market by the end of 2008 as part of its diversification strategy. This is what EFG Eurobank Bulgaria’s executive director Assen Yagodin told SeeNews yesterday, though he refused to give any further details on the move.

EFG Eurobank Bulgaria is the fifth largest bank here in terms of assets, which came into being after the merger between the Greek bank’s two divisions in the country – Postbank and DZI Bank.

Making its maiden steps into the local insurance business, EFG Eurobank Bulgaria will be cooperating with Euroline Insurance – a subsidiary of EFG Eurobank Ergasias.
