“The same people who drove me out of Customs drove out the minister of interior,” said Emil Dimitrov, former director of the Customs Agency. “Mitko “The Olive” is involved in contraband of cigarettes. He declared that he has had no problems with the law and his business is flourishing,” stated Dimitrov on BTV.

He informed that he needed three months to restrict the late crime boss Ivan Todorov’s business. Dimitrov reminded that ex-PM Ivan Kostov was not reelected because of the problems with organized crime. He believes that the same people who drove him out of Customs drove out Rumen Petkov, because he placed Customs under his authority with the aim to improve its operations.

Dimitrov declared that the entire political elite is being financed by contraband. In September Dimitrov received instructions from the minister of justice to inspect all institutions and courts, but he wasn’t questioned about the Customs Agency until yesterday. It emerged that the prosecution and the MI covered up all investigations.
