For the first time in the last 15 years unemployment in the three regions of Northwestern Bulgaria - Montana , Vidin and Vratza decreased below 10 percent, the Regional service on employment in Montana announced. At the moment the unemployed in the three regions are 9,88 percent of the active population, BNR announced. The level of unemployment in Northwestern Bulgaria is still higher than the country`s average, which is about 5,89 percent, but is 3 percent lower than the level in the same period...

Three treasures of silver coins minted by King Ivan Sratzimir were "deposited" in the National Museum of History in Sofia . A real flood of silver coins poured in the National Museum of History: three treasures of silver and copper coins, minted by Bulgarian King Ivan Sratzimir (1371-1396), wait to be bought out by the museum. The two treasures of silver coins consist of 421 and 905 coins each. They are the biggest of all discovered by now treasures of coins minted by the last Mediaeval Bulgarian ruler....

Society: Bulgarian School Children to Go on Summer Camps in Monasteries

Bulgarian school children will go to a monastery to have their holiday this year. They will be send there by the bishop of Plovdiv Nikolay who opens school camps in the God`s houses, writes “24 hours” newspaper.
The summer camps will be first for children attending “Religion” classes. Staff from the monastery will help the children in their daily pursuits. The orthodox monasteries in the region of Vidin start also to open for children. Since last year the Klisura monastery is also receiving school groups. Other monasteries that are willing and already interact with the children are the Dobridol monastery and the Etropole monastery.
