At the moment the unemployed in the three regions are 9,88 percent of the active population, BNR announced. The level of unemployment in Northwestern Bulgaria is still higher than the country`s average, which is about 5,89 percent, but is 3 percent lower than the level in the same period...
Bulgarian school children will go to a monastery to have their holiday this year. They will be send there by the bishop of Plovdiv Nikolay who opens school camps in the God`s houses, writes “24 hours” newspaper. The summer camps will be first for children attending “Religion” classes. Staff from the monastery will help the children in their daily pursuits. The orthodox monasteries in the region of Vidin start also to open for children. Since last year the Klisura monastery is also receiving school groups. Other monasteries that are willing and already interact with the children are the Dobridol monastery and the Etropole monastery.

Accidents: One hundred trees property of monastery cut illegally Village of Rakovitsa >> Friday, 2008-04-04 16:44 Source: Focus Agency Nearly one hundred trees property of the Rakovishki monastery “Holy Trinity” (village of Rakovitsa) have been cut down illegally, the District Police Directorate in the northwestern town of Vidin announced. A joint operation between the police and forestry employees carried out on April 3rd found out that 975 trees were illegally cut. The cost of the damages is still not known.
