The problem has been unresolved for the past 10 years. Vidin Regional Court on occasions had to examine as many as 40 cases of treasure hunting per year, Filipova said. Hunters are looking mainly for coins and smaller artifacts but the use of bulldozers inflicts serious harm.

At the moment the unemployed in the three regions are 9,88 percent of the active population, BNR announced. The level of unemployment in Northwestern Bulgaria is still higher than the country`s average, which is about 5,89 percent, but is 3 percent lower than the level in the same period...
Bulgarian school children will go to a monastery to have their holiday this year. They will be send there by the bishop of Plovdiv Nikolay who opens school camps in the God`s houses, writes “24 hours” newspaper. The summer camps will be first for children attending “Religion” classes. Staff from the monastery will help the children in their daily pursuits. The orthodox monasteries in the region of Vidin start also to open for children. Since last year the Klisura monastery is also receiving school groups. Other monasteries that are willing and already interact with the children are the Dobridol monastery and the Etropole monastery.
