Renom-Novachene (Nikopol muncipality), the local producer of farming equipment, said it will add to its product mix offerings for the off-farming season. The company has started manufacturing snow plowers and plow blade trailers. The company will make a further use of its extensive 50,000 sq m production site by installing a biofuel system, for which it will seek an alliance with the local or a foreign partner, and rooftop solar power plant.

Spanish company Koener plans to build a 60 mln euro biodiesel plant in the Pleven area , Northern Bulgaria .
Company officials have met with the regional government to discuss the project.
The output of the refinery will be mainly exported to Austria, Germany, Romania and Serbia.
Koener officials have visited suitable plant sites in the municipalities of Gulyantsi and Nikopol .

The proposed park is situated along the Svishtov - Belene lowlands, including a part of the surrounding steep Danube coast around Nikopol and Svishtov and all the Bulgarian islands in that part of Danube river.
