The Bulgarian drug boss, Dimitar Zhelyazkov, aka Mityo "Ochite" ("The Eyes"), will sign a deal with prosecutors that involves a crime group based in Vratsa . In an interview for Darik Radio, Zhelyazkov also stated that recent scandalous pictures of him having a barbecue outside the jail he was recently transferred from were fake and had been altered by another prisoner. He said that the barbecue had actually taken place inside the prison walls....

Six children, aged 17, 16 and 14 and two women, aged 37 and 35 have been injured in road incident along the road fork between the towns of Oryahovo and Mizya. The incident occurred early this morning. All of the injured are Romanians, National Medical Coordinative Center informed. Bus collided into a tree. The Romanians are lightly injured.

Mother and son have been murdered in Rogozen village, Vratsa district, Ministry of Interior press office informs. Man, aged 54, was found dead in the yard of his house in Rogozen village. His mother, aged 75 was found dead in her bed. Police received signal about incident about 10.00 a.m. on Thursday morning. The signal was given by the brother of the killed man.There is a coffee shop and a store in the house, owed by 54-year-old man.The case is under investigation.

Treasure hunters in the region of Vidin have been limited by the activities of policemen but continue inflicting serious harm, manager of the town’s history museum Fionera Filipova said as quoted by Radio Focus. The problem has been unresolved for the past 10 years. Vidin Regional Court on occasions had to examine as many as 40 cases of treasure hunting per year, Filipova said. Vidin customs officers have seized around 2,5 kg of cannabis, Customs Agency announced. The drug was found in a joint operation between customs officers and border police. 2,531 kg of cannabis were found in a car. Mayor of Vidin municipality, Rumen Vidov, had adventure with Romanian customs officers, sources from the Romanian town of Calafat told. Group of five people, consisting of fancier hunters, entered the waters of Danube River with boat on January 19, 2009. The group was held by Romanian customs officers for entering Romanian territorial waters.
