The Election Day in northern Mokresh, Valchedram Municipality, Montana district finished scoring 73% voter turnout. 547 people of the total of 752 eligible to vote people have casted their votes. The Election Day passed normally without any filed complains for violations. The candidates for mayor of the village are three: Kirilka Efremova’s husband – 60-year-old Ognyan Efremov (National Movement for Stability and Progress), 31-year-old Biser Tsvetanov (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria) and 34-year-old Toni Traykov (Bulgarian New Democracy).

Numerous antique coins have been expropriated during a police action by sector "Counteraction to organized and heavy crime" in Municipal department in Montana . They were located in the home of a 53-year old from Valchedrum . The coins are exactly 150. The policemen have found other objects from the antiquity as well - rings, fibulas, containers and so on. Srebarna Nature Reserve was announced for protected area according to the Law for Biological Diversity, after the Environmental Ministry published on Wednesday, February 6 about 6 zones that goes under NATURA 2000 ecology network. The other five protected areas are: `Island next to Gorni Tsibar`, `Tsibar`s marsh`, Gorni Dubnik - Telish`, `Chairya` (near Dobrich city), `Breeding pool - Orsoya`.
