The rehabilitation of the water supply grid near the village of Barzia, Montana district, is the reason for the traffic to be redirected through roads IV-81204 and III-812 Berkovitsa-Varshets – from the road fork leading to the Yagodovo village, near the Chapraza area. Signals and road signs have been put in the section. The changes would be in force till June 7th when the repair works are due to finish. Daimler`s experts want to turn the former airport into a testing ground for their latest prototypes. So far they have visited the airbase twice and have taken many photos, sources from the Municipality of Gabrovnitsa told The Standart. The military airport was closed down in 2001. About 40 towns and villages in the region of Gabrovo in Bulgaria are without electricity as a result of power lines disconnected by the strong wind in the area, the Bulgarian Natural Disaster Management Ministry announced for FOCUS News Agency. According to the information eight villages in the region of Montana and another eight in the region of Razgrad are also with no electric power.
