Burgas -based company Santa Maria has submitted three investment proposals for review by the Teteven municipality . The investors wants to build a community of detached houses in the Ribaritsa resort in the Teteven area .

The mountain passage of Shipka a major road link between South and North Bulgaria, is closed for traffic, the police announced. Freight vehicles are not allowed to continue on the Hemus freeway and are held near the town of Pravets until the road is cleaned. All vehicles must have snow chains in the region of Botevgrad and Smolyan. The Shipkovo-Ribaritsa road is closed. Drivers are advised to follow strictly the road regulations and to be cautious.

Spanish tourism and property investment group Marina D`Or has announced plans to build two holiday compounds in Bulgaria.
The first development will occupy a 2.25 ha site near Varna . The land was purchased from local furniture company Yavor for 12 mln euro.
The Bulgarian office of the company said more information about the coastal development will be made public in November.

Construction and investment company Tenbul said it will invest 1 mln euro in a gated holiday home complex in Ribaritsa , a mountain village in North-western Bulgaria .
The 5,250 sq m Kostina vacation community will comprise 13 two-storey villas with floor area ranging from 140 to 190 sq m.
