A sailing city has berthed near Varna, Bulgaria`s northern Black Sea coast. The largest passenger ship which has ever arrived in Varna is twice as big as the legendary Titanic. The 295-metre long Norwegian Jade is too big to anchor at the quay in Varna and lay a mile into the sea of Varna bay.

The giant, sailing under the Bahamian flag, is owned by the American Norwegian Cruise Line. The cruiser holds 2326 passengers of 39 different nationalities. The ten-day cruise via Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia and Turkey costs between 1,500 and 12,000 euro.

The ship has 14 decks, 12 restaurants, a lot of bars, a theatre, a chapel, three swimming pools, exercise room and a SPA centre, a tennis court, a volleyball and basketball ground, a huge casino with at least a hundred playing tables.
