Georgi Gergov is negotiating the purchase of Sofia Hotel Radisson. He has already paid a deposit of EUR 330 000 to participate in the transaction. "The last price I heard was in the amount of EUR 80 million," said Gergov. To secure funding, he is even ready to sell his Black sea complex Sunny Day in the resort St. St. Konstantin and Elena. Several days ago Gergov denied the complex was sold.

Sunny Day - Varna , Bourse code 3JP, the annual general meeting of which was held on June 30, 2009 reported a loss for 2008 in the amount of BGN 1 458 513.49, which shall be allocated to the Reserves fund. The company decided to allocate the Retained profit, amounting to BGN 37 176.70 to the Reserves fund. The company allocates BGN 16 663.25 as Retained profit. Sunny Day - Varna will not distribute dividends for 2008.

Varna clinics lack interest to create emergency medical aid centers in the coastal resorts nearby, local newspaper reported. Only an ambulance will be available for the needs of tourists. Clinics lack the desire to invest in such centers because Bulgaria is expecting fewer tourists this summer. Medics are also refusing to sign contracts with the National Health Fund and to work in resorts. This denies both Bulgarians and European tourists the chance to get free medical treatment in resorts.

The year 2007 was a record summer holiday season for Bulgaria`s Black Sea resorts, the Standart daily reports. The number of foreign tourists was growing, along with the concrete buildings in the coastal resorts.
Local coastline became an attractive destination for the German tourists in the beginning of the `70s. The statistics shows that nearly 4 million foreign tourists had visited Bulgaria by August 2007.
