Two people were slightly injured and transported to the hospital in town of Provadia after a bus carrying Polish tourists hit a truck on the Hemus highway, connecting the capital Sofia with the coastal city of Varna. The 30-year-old driver of the bus suffered bruises and a Polish tourist has a knee contusion, doctors reported. There were many children travelling on the bus but luckily no one of them was hurt. Authorities are still trying to determine the reason behind the accident. |

Bulgarian authorities ordered on Monday the closing of Bulgaria`s Black Sea port of Varna due to the dense fog that is still covering the city. No vessels are allowed to exit or enter the port since 7 a.m. Visibility is about 400 meters, which is 100 meters below the obligatory minimum. It is expected that the port will be opened again soon as the fog is starting to lift. |

| About BGN 150,000 was found during a police search in the home of chairwoman of the Administrative Court in Bulgaria`s seaside city of Varna, Aneliya Tsvetkova, who was arrested over receiving a bribe. Prosecution said they still trying to determine the source of the money found in Tsvetkova`s home. The high-ranking legal official was nabbed Thursday at the moment of taking a bribe of BGN 10,000. The arrest was done as part of a joint raid of the State Agency for National Security and Sofia Prosecutor`s Office. |
