Three rings were discovered during archaeological research near Varna’s Evksinograd, Focus news agency reported. One of the rings still preserves a writing pointing to its owner. His name was Theodor. The finding dates back to the 6th century. The two other rings are made of gold and silver and date back to the 14th century. Archaeologists discovered other artifacts among which parts of clay dishes, silver coins and other bowls.

Over 70 hotels in the region of Varna are offered for sale, Darik Radio reported. Nearly all of these hotels are currently functioning. A few are still being constructed or are nearly completed. The biggest number of offers involve the sale of family-type hotels. Most hotels for sale are situated in Golden Sands resort. Their number is 17. A total of 15 hotels are offered for sale in St. Konstantin and Elena resort. Other hotels for sale are located in the regions of Journalist and Evksinograd.

Varna clinics lack interest to create emergency medical aid centers in the coastal resorts nearby, local newspaper reported. Only an ambulance will be available for the needs of tourists. Clinics lack the desire to invest in such centers because Bulgaria is expecting fewer tourists this summer. Medics are also refusing to sign contracts with the National Health Fund and to work in resorts. This denies both Bulgarians and European tourists the chance to get free medical treatment in resorts.

Bulgarian seaside resorts are enjoying increased interest from Latvian and Lithuanian holidaymakers, a hotel and restaurant industry association said. The complete research of the ancient layer of Evksinograd ’s fortress will take decades to be finalized, head of the Varna archaeology museum Valentin Pletniov told radio Focus- Varna . Rich Russians are buying hotels at the Bulgarian seaside for peanut money, real estate brokers reported. Many of them have commissioned special property agents to hunt for cheap estates.
