Skodek residential project was granted a building permit, it is situated in the land of Shkorpilovtsi village . The investor is Valnek Ltd., the contractor is Nekton Ltd. The design of the complex has been prepared by a team with leading architect Natalia Lyutskanova. Over 8,000,000 sq. m of forests near the sea will become resorts and holiday complexes. The territories are mostly along Kamchia river, the village of Shkorpilovtsi, the recreation zones near Varna and Golden Sands resort.
5,000,000 sq. m have been sold by the State forest agency for the last three years against BGN 3m at an average price of BGN 6.33 per sq. m. Other 3,000,000 sq. m near the coastal zone have been exchanged for forest inland territories in ratio 1:10 in favour of the state. Over 800,000 sq. m of forests in the zone of Kamchia will be partially deforested and turned into big holiday villages with big parks with them.
For the coming three years in Avren municipality have been announced investment interests for over EUR 250m mainly around Kamchia river coasts. Varna realtors are expecting this summer to galvanize the river territories trade whose current levels are up to EUR 45 per sq. m. In Shkorpilovtsi the investment situation is even hotter. Varna is in the top of the use of former forest land territories.

Some 820 decares of oak forests in the Kamchiya Region located 25 km south of the city of Varna close to the Black Sea coast are to be deforested and cleared for the construction of resort complexes.
