Targovishte. A(H1N1) virus claimed its first victim in the town of Targovishte (Northeast Bulgaria), Dr. Rayna Zheynova with the Regional Inspectorate for Protection and Control of Public Health announced for Radio FOCUS - Shumen.The victim is 54-year-old man from the town of Opaka. Seven people have been in contact with the patient - 3 kids and 4 adults. They are out of risk.

This summer archaeologists discovered a well-preserved altar from a large sanctuary near the town of Opaka , northeastern Bulgaria . The altar is decorated with images of grapes and wine vessels, which, to experts, means that it belonged to a temple to Dionysus. It was used by the local priestesses to perform the wine-fire ritual and predict the future.
