An earthquake measuring 4,8 on the Richter scale shook the territories of Dobrich and Silistra districts in North-eastern Bulgaria on Wednesday. The epicentre of the quake was registered 620 kilometres of the capital city of Sofia, out of Bulgaria`s border seismologists reported. The tremor did not cause serious damages or casualties, immediate reports claim. |

A 22-year-old woman died after jumping off the roof of an eight-storey residential building in the town of Silistra. A passer-by called the police after seeing the woman standing on the edge of the roof on Saturday afternoon. They tried to talk her out of jumping but to no avail. The woman died in hospital. She has been identified, but her name has not been released. Police is investigating the reasons for the suicide. |
