| The local Black Sea Technology Company (BSTC), 99.69%-owned by Italy`s AMGA Azienda Multiservizi S.p.A., said it plans to spend 2.279 mln levs through March 2009 on the rollout of over 20 km of gas mains in the city of Shumen. The company has already installed 43 km of gas mains in the Shumen municipality, pumping gas to 300 households, 28 industrial enterprises and 80 public and administrative buildings. BSTC said it will start the deployment of gas networks in Kaolinovo, Hitrino, Vetrino, Devnya and Suvorovo by Mar `09. |

| Kaolin, the Bulgarian mining company, said Q1 sales fell marginally to 22.3 mln levs versus 22.7 mln a year ago after the severe winter conditions this past Jan affected production operations across the group. The weakening U.S. dollar and higher fuel costs also left their mark on the Q1 financial report. Net profit was reported at 1.35 mln levs, down from 5.46 mln a year earlier when the company pocketed 2 mln levs from the disposal of a subsidiary company. Upcoming investment is expected to boost turnover by 20% this year to over 141 mln levs. |

| The mining company Kaolin said unconsolidated profit more than doubled to over 17 mln levs in `07. Sales added 23% y/y to 105.3 mln levs while operating costs were up 26% y/y to 90.7 mln levs. Financial income more than tripled to 5.5 mln levs. The company stock gained 2.37% on Fri to 14.02 levs on a volume of 30,000 shares.
