| The 112 emergency hotline will be launched in Bulgaria at long last. As of July 3, the line will receive emergency calls from the citizens in 10 districts. At the same time two call centers will start functioning in the capital and in Russe, which will cover Greater Sofia, Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Silistra and Razgrad. Till the end of the year the free line should be available for the rest of the towns in Bulgaria, Minister of State Policy for Disasters and Accidents informed yesterday. Meanwhile in the towns of Shumen and Sliven a temporary information center already operates. It receives calls about emergency situations and dispatches them to Civil Protection agency. To make a call people have to dial the respective area code and then 112. |

| Tornado swept away roofs, destroyed walls and uprooted trees in Zavet municipality in the Bulgarian region of Razgrad . Over 200 families in three villages remained without roofs. | Children`s villages of the SOS Kinderdorf type will be built soon in the Bulgarian towns of Razgrad, Stara Zagora and Smolyan. Razgrad Municipality have already designated a plot of land at the local Orel District for construction of two houses, a new shelter to all orphans, currently inhabiting two local orphanages. Each SOS home will have bedrooms for two, a study, a living-room, a kitchenette, spacious yard with a garden. The implementation of the project will expend 1.2 million levs (1 euro = 1.95 levs) of the Bulgarian Labour and Social Policy Ministry`s budget. |

About 40 towns and villages in the region of Gabrovo in Bulgaria are without electricity as a result of power lines disconnected by the strong wind in the area, the Bulgarian Natural Disaster Management Ministry announced for FOCUS News Agency.
