| BG Agro, the local agricultural conglomerate, has opened a new grain depot in Razgrad. The silo complex, with a storage capacity of 20,000 tons, is located on 0.8 ha in the industrial zone of the city. The equipment, supplied by GSI International of the U.S., cost 4 mln levs. The Varna-based company, which farms over 8,000 ha of arable land, has already put in operation grain depots in Varna and Valchi Dol. The three grain depots have a combined price tag of 12 mln levs. |

| Children`s villages of the SOS Kinderdorf type will be built soon in the Bulgarian towns of Razgrad, Stara Zagora and Smolyan. Razgrad Municipality have already designated a plot of land at the local Orel District for construction of two houses, a new shelter to all orphans, currently inhabiting two local orphanages. Each SOS home will have bedrooms for two, a study, a living-room, a kitchenette, spacious yard with a garden. The implementation of the project will expend 1.2 million levs (1 euro = 1.95 levs) of the Bulgarian Labour and Social Policy Ministry`s budget. |

| Lithuanian discount retailer T-Market has bid 575,000 levs to win a competition for a municipal land plot of 0.5 ha in Razgrad`s biggest residential district, Orel. As part of the land purchase agreement, T-Market has pledged to invest a further 25,000 levs in public-private partnership with the local government. The supermarket, T-Market`s 17th in Bulgaria, should open by mid-`09. |
