Fire is burning in the gas field near the village of Durankulak , Northeast Bulgaria . The fire has started yesterday during drilling works. Seven tenders have been opened by Transit Roads 5 for sections of 400 km total length. The projects in the six lots are to be completed within 24 months, only the 46-km long lot from road I-9 Durankulak - Kavarna will be completed within 18 months. Developers plan to shoehorn no less than 5 golf resorts between Shabla and Durankulak , a 20 km stretch on Bulgaria`s northern Black Sea coastline.
The Shabla municipality said the projects will be developed by Bulgarian Golf Society and Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Co., both part of Varna -based economic conglomerate TIM, Litex Commerce, Bulgaria Hold and Rosinvest.
TIM is also developing a marina project in the Shabla bay area.
