Scottish-based oil and gas company Melrose Resources has landed a concession contract to extract natural gas from the Kaliakra field, the Bulgarian Council of Ministers announced on Wednesday. The company has already won concession contracts for the Galata ana Kavarna fields. The new field occupies 19 sq km (7.336 sq miles) and is located in the continental shelf. An earthquake measuring about 3.5-3.7 by Richter scale has been registered in the country at 7.48 am n Monday, the Civil Protection press office announced. One more patient infected with A (H1N1) flu has died in the hospital for active treatment Rockefeller in the town of Petrich . In doctors` words the 52-year-old man were in good health condition after one-week stay at the hospital but suddenly he felt unwell after complications due to the new flu stamp and died in the weekend. Doctors added that the new flu differs from the common one because it affects the whole lung not just part of it.

A 15-year-old boy from Kavarna , who was treated in the St. Marina Hospital in coastal Varna with diagnosis - A (H1N1) flu, has died at midnight, Director of Regional Health Center Dr. Veselin Balkanski told FOCUS - Varna radio. According to Dr. Balkanski the child has died of distress syndrome as a result of influenza disease. The case is to be investigated, and the check results will be sent to the Ministry of Healthcare. Kindergartens in the coastal town of Kavarna close doors over the spreading flu virus at the order of Kavarna mayor Tsonko Tsonev. Municipal press officer Maria Sotirova commented that the municipality is waiting for a statement of the Regional Inspectorate for Protection and Control of Public Health for declaring flu vacation at the schools, too. The sick rate at several schools in the town is really high.
