Scottish-based oil and gas company Melrose Resources has landed a concession contract to extract natural gas from the Kaliakra field, the Bulgarian Council of Ministers announced on Wednesday. Japanese firm Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in June got 120,000 carbon credits from its 35 MW wind farm near Kaliakra Cape on Bulgaria`s northern Black Sea coast . Four new temperature records have been registered in Bulgaria, the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences announced. 17,2°C was measured in the coastal city of Burgas , 14,6°C - on the cape of Emine (2km from Emona village ), 13°C - on the cape of Kaliakra , and 14,4°C - in the northern city of Silistra . These are not the final temperatures; higher ones are expected, says NIMH. Weather forecasters say Sunday is the last day of the warm wave.
